This works well when you need help with a specific issue. I track the time I spend and invoice only for the hours used, whether we're fixing code, reviewing an API, or talking through a database decision.

For ongoing work, I reserve a set number of hours for your team each month. I can maintain infrastructure, build product updates, review pull requests, and handle the day-to-day technical work that keeps a project moving.
A new application, a defined feature, or a project with clear requirements.
If the scope is clear, I'll put together a written plan with the cost, delivery dates, and work included. You know the budget before development starts, so there are no unexpected invoices.

This is the usual process from our first conversation to the start of development.
We'll have a short call to discuss your product, the problem you need solved, and where things stand today. I'll be direct about whether I'm a good fit for the work.
If we're moving ahead, I'll send a plain-English outline of the work. It covers the approach, timeline, deliverables, and expected cost.
Once you approve the plan, we'll sign a simple agreement. I'm happy to sign an NDA before you share sensitive details. Then I'll get the access needed to begin.
I'll start building and keep you posted along the way. I can join your Slack or Discord, and I'll send regular updates so you always know where the work is at.
